Description

Offered here is an original UK pressing of Queen's fifth studio album, A Day At The Races, released by EMI in 1976. Following the enormous success of A Night At The Opera, the band delivered another ambitious collection featuring the classic singles Somebody To Love, Tie Your Mother Down and Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy. This copy carries the desirable STERLING stamp in both runouts, denoting mastering at Sterling Sound. Complete with its original rounded-corner picture inner sleeve, this is a strong collector's copy that remains highly enjoyable to play and increasingly sought after in original UK form. Early Sterling-mastered UK copies continue to be among the most desirable analogue editions of the album.

Condition

Sleeve: VG+
The gatefold sleeve remains clean and structurally sound with honest storage wear, light corner rubbing and some surface marks visible under strong light. The spine remains solid and readable, with no major splits or damage. Overall a very respectable original example.

Vinyl: VG+
A glossy original pressing retaining an attractive sheen. There are a handful of light surface marks consistent with careful use, none of which are feelable. Labels remain clean with moderate spindle evidence. Professionally play-tested, producing strong playback with only occasional light background noise associated with an original UK pressing of this age.

Inner Sleeve: Original rounded-corner picture inner included.
Included as shown in the photographs.

Please study all photographs carefully as they form part of the description and condition assessment.
