Fewer records. More attention.

We're not trying to be the biggest record shop in the country. We buy selectively, turn down plenty, and every record that makes it onto the site is handled individually from identification through to grading.

If we can't stand behind the description, it doesn't get listed.

Selection

Collections come to us from collectors, clearances and private sellers. We go through stock by hand and select records that are interesting, collectible or simply excellent copies worth owning.

Condition matters, so records with serious damage are rejected or described clearly where a rare pressing still merits listing.

Identifying the pressing

A record is a specific pressing, not just an album. We check label design, catalogue number, matrix and runout information, sleeve details and other identifiers before listing.

Where relevant, those details are included in the product description. If we are not certain about something, we say so rather than guess.

Cleaning

All non-sealed records are cleaned in our Degritter before shipping. Sealed records remain sealed.

Grading

We grade sleeve and vinyl separately and aim to grade conservatively. Significant marks, wear and playback issues are described clearly rather than left for you to discover.

Our full definitions are set out in the Grading Guide. If a record is materially below the condition described, contact us and we will put it right in accordance with your statutory rights.
