A very nice 1980 UK pressing of Jethro Tull – Aqualung, issued on Chrysalis Records under catalogue number CHR 1044. This example carries the A//5 / B//4 matrix combination and retains the original-style gatefold sleeve featuring Burton Silverman's distinctive portrait artwork. Originally released in 1971, Aqualung remains one of Jethro Tull's most celebrated albums, combining progressive rock, hard-rock guitar, acoustic folk passages and Ian Anderson's unmistakable flute playing. The album features the classic recordings Aqualung, Cross-Eyed Mary, My God, Hymn 43 and Locomotive Breath. Recorded at Island Studios in London and produced by Ian Anderson and Terry Ellis, the album explores themes of religion, social inequality and institutional hypocrisy through some of the band's most ambitious songwriting. This UK reissue preserves the original album programme and gatefold presentation, making it an attractive vintage listening copy of an essential progressive rock recording.

Sleeve: VG+
The original gatefold sleeve remains in very good collector condition, displaying light signs of previous storage and handling consistent with its age. The distinctive front-cover artwork remains attractive, with general age-related edge, corner and surface wear appropriate to the VG+ grade. The gatefold construction remains intact. Graded VG+.

Vinyl: VG+
The original vinyl retains a good glossy appearance with light evidence of previous handling and play. There are superficial surface marks consistent with the VG+ grade. The original Chrysalis labels remain well presented, and the supplied A//5 / B//4 matrices are present in the runouts. Graded VG+.
