Description

A rare Capitol Records of Canada experimental colour-vinyl test pressing from the Mississauga plant, dating from summer 1980. This unusual factory test combines two unrelated production stampers: one side uses metalwork from Ian Thomas’ The Best Of Ian Thomas, while the other uses Side 1 metalwork from Dirt Band’s Make A Little Magic.

The dark green/grey marbled vinyl carries an unrelated Capitol label for Prism’s Armageddon on one side and a blank label on the other. These tests were not commercial releases and were assembled using available stampers and unrelated labels during Capitol’s coloured-vinyl experiments.

“CCT2024-4” is used here as a collector/database reference rather than an original Capitol catalogue number.
