Description

A very strong original UK copy of Aerosmith – Live! Bootleg, the band’s classic 1978 double live album, issued on CBS as catalogue number 88325. The album was deliberately presented to resemble the kind of unofficial concert bootleg that circulated heavily during the 1970s, right down to the rough-edged artwork and presentation. That design has become part of the appeal of the release in its own right. Musically, it captures Aerosmith at their classic late-1970s peak, with Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Brad Whitford, Tom Hamilton and Joey Kramer delivering raw live versions of some of the band’s biggest songs. Highlights include Back In The Saddle, Sweet Emotion, Walk This Way, Dream On, Mama Kin, Toys In The Attic and Train Kept A Rollin’. This copy is especially desirable because it still includes the original large poster, which is frequently missing from surviving examples.

Condition

Sleeve: EX
The original gatefold sleeve presents extremely well with only minimal signs of storage or handling. The intentionally bootleg-style artwork remains clean and sharp, with strong edges and an excellent overall appearance. Original poster included.

Vinyl: VG++
Both records retain an excellent glossy finish with only very light signs of previous handling or play. Any visible surface marks are minor and superficial, placing the vinyl comfortably above a standard VG+ example and just short of a full EX grade. Overall, a particularly clean and complete original copy.
