The UK edition is particularly collectable in mono, with the album issued in both mono and stereo configurations in Britain. Produced by Bob Johnston, the record captures the Byrds moving between country rock, folk rock and psychedelia, with Roger McGuinn, Clarence White, John York and Gene Parsons forming the group's line-up. Highlights include This Wheel's On Fire, Drug Store Truck Drivin' Man, Bad Night At The Whiskey, Nashville West and the closing My Back Pages / B.J. Blues / Baby, What Do You Want Me To Do medley.

Condition

Sleeve: VG++
The original front-laminated picture sleeve is graded VG++. A very strong example with the striking dark front artwork retaining excellent colour and presentation. There is some light laminate rubbing and creasing, together with minor edge and corner wear consistent with careful storage over more than five decades. The unlaminated rear remains particularly well presented, with the photographic panels and printed details clear and attractive. Overall, an excellent-looking original sleeve with only relatively minor age-related wear preventing an EX grade.

Vinyl: EX
The vinyl is graded EX. Both playing surfaces retain excellent original gloss and present extremely cleanly, with only minimal signs of previous handling and play visible under direct light. The orange CBS mono labels are also particularly clean and well preserved. A very strong example of this desirable original UK mono pressing.

Please study all photographs carefully as they form part of the description and condition assessment.

Highlights

Original UK 1969 Mono Pressing – A1/B1 Matrices

CBS – M 63545 / 63545

Side A: 63545 A1 ∴ Side B: 63545 B1 ∴

Sleeve VG++ / Vinyl EX

UK / 25 April 1969

Original UK 1969 mono pressing

Track Listing

Side One
1.
