This copy carries the distinctive STERLING inscriptions on both sides, identifying the album's mastering at Sterling Sound in New York. The record is housed in its original gatefold sleeve, featuring the spectacular medieval battle artwork by Paul Raymond Gregory. Released during the height of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, Crusader is Saxon's sixth studio album and one of the band's most recognisable releases. The album features the classic lineup of Biff Byford, Graham Oliver, Paul Quinn, Steve Dawson and Nigel Glockler. Opening with the atmospheric instrumental prelude, the record launches into the epic title track, Crusader, one of the defining songs in Saxon's catalogue. Other highlights include A Little Bit Of What You Fancy, Sailing To America, Just Let Me Rock and the band's energetic interpretation of Sweet's Set Me Free. Recorded at Sound City Studios in Los Angeles and produced by Kevin Beamish, the album combines powerful twin-guitar arrangements, memorable choruses and the unmistakable vocals of Biff Byford. An attractive original European copy, retaining its distinctive gatefold artwork and original Sterling-mastered vinyl.

Condition

Sleeve: VG++
The original gatefold sleeve presents in very good collector condition, displaying light signs of previous storage and handling consistent with its age.
