All four sides carry the original 1983 stamped matrix inscriptions, identifying this early European edition. The album is housed in its original gatefold sleeve, featuring the extraordinary surrealist artwork depicting visual interpretations of classic Black Sabbath songs. Live Evil documents Black Sabbath during the celebrated Ronnie James Dio era, capturing the band performing material from both their early Ozzy Osbourne catalogue and their subsequent albums Heaven And Hell and Mob Rules. Recorded during the band's 1982 American tour, the performances feature Ronnie James Dio on vocals, Tony Iommi on guitar, Geezer Butler on bass and Vinny Appice on drums. The recordings were captured in Seattle, San Antonio and Dallas, with the album mixed at the Record Plant in Los Angeles.
