Bootleg, the band’s classic 1978 double live album, issued on CBS as catalogue number 88325. The album was deliberately presented to resemble the kind of unofficial concert bootleg that circulated heavily during the 1970s, right down to the rough-edged artwork and presentation. That design has become part of the appeal of the release in its own right. Musically, it captures Aerosmith at their classic late-1970s peak, with Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Brad Whitford, Tom Hamilton and Joey Kramer delivering raw live versions of some of the band’s biggest songs. Highlights include Back In The Saddle, Sweet Emotion, Walk This Way, Dream On, Mama Kin, Toys In The Attic and Train Kept A Rollin’. This copy is especially desirable because it still includes the original large poster, which is frequently missing from surviving examples.

Condition

Sleeve: EX
The original gatefold sleeve presents extremely well with only minimal signs of storage or handling. That makes original 1990s copies considerably less common than many of the band's earlier records, and Get A Grip has become one of the more desirable Aerosmith LPs from the era. Produced by Bruce Fairbairn, the album became one of Aerosmith’s biggest commercial successes and includes an exceptional run of singles: Livin’ On The Edge, Eat The Rich, Cryin’, Amazing and Crazy. Released in 2012, Music From Another Dimension! reunited Aerosmith with producer Jack Douglas and marked the band's first studio album of original material in more than a decade. The album includes Legendary Child, What Could Have Been Love, Lover Alot and Can’t Stop Lovin’ You, the latter featuring Carrie Underwood. Rather than a conventional circular seven-inch single, this distinctive release is die-cut into the shape of Aerosmith's celebrated band logo, making it an especially striking addition to any rock vinyl collection. The picture disc features the band's unmistakable stylised logo artwork, combining an unusual physical format with one of Aerosmith's most recognisable recordings. Originally released in 1987 on the multi-platinum album Permanent Vacation, Dude (Looks Like A Lady) became one of the songs that helped introduce Aerosmith to an entirely new generation of rock fans. Written by Steven Tyler, Joe Perry and Desmond Child, and produced by Bruce Fairbairn, the track combines the band's trademark swagger with an infectious chorus and powerful guitar-driven arrangement. The reverse features Monkey On My Back, taken from the band's hugely successful 1989 album Pump. This unusual shaped edition represents a particularly attractive piece of original-era Aerosmith memorabilia, combining two classic recordings with a distinctive and highly displayable picture-disc design. The picture disc grades VG++.

Condition

Sleeve: Not graded
No separate sleeve condition grade is recorded for this copy.

Vinyl: VG+
The shaped picture disc remains in very good collector condition, retaining its distinctive Aerosmith logo artwork and original die-cut profile.
